A Delta Air Lines aircraft was moved to a remote runway at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv after an anonymous report of a suspicious device on board, according to Israeli media accounts. Airport security staff inspected the plane, an Airbus A330neo registered N423DX, and found nothing unusual.

An Israel Airports Authority spokesperson said security personnel examined the aircraft thoroughly and that operations had returned to normal.

The flight left New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport on October 12, 2026, at 15:55 and arrived in Tel Aviv shortly after 08:25 the next day. The carrier was contacted for further comment.

The same source notes a separate event earlier in the month. On September 30, 2026, a flydubai Boeing 737 MAX 8 flying from Dubai to Tel Aviv was diverted to Saudi Arabia after it transmitted emergency transponder codes, one of which signals unlawful interference with an aircraft. According to the account, the first officer attacked the captain with a cockpit axe. Wounded, the captain still managed to open the cockpit door, letting passengers enter the flight deck and restrain the attacker.
