Delta to Cut Five Routes from New York and Las Vegas

Delta Air Lines is discontinuing five routes, including service from New York LaGuardia to Tulsa, JFK to Milwaukee and Palm Springs, and Las Vegas to San Diego and Orange County, according to schedule data and an airline statement.

Delta Air Lines is cutting five routes from its network, affecting flights from New York and Las Vegas. The changes showed up in Cirium Diio schedule data on Friday and were later confirmed by an airline spokesperson.

The carrier will end New York LaGuardia to Tulsa service on Nov. 9. Its JFK to Milwaukee and Saturday-only JFK to Palm Springs flights will be discontinued on Dec. 19. Delta will keep serving Milwaukee from New York with four daily flights from LaGuardia.

From Las Vegas, Delta will suspend service to San Diego and Orange County starting Nov. 9, citing weaker demand after the winter season. The final regularly scheduled flights on those two routes will operate Nov. 8. Some flights will operate temporarily in January around the CES technology trade show.

In a statement, the airline said it continually evaluates its network to best meet customer demand. It apologized for the inconvenience and said it would contact affected customers directly.
