Delta to expand Boston schedule around Patriots' Day and spring break
Delta Air Lines plans a larger-than-usual flight programme out of Boston in April 2027, timed to Patriots' Day and the spring break period. The extra capacity covers Florida, Caribbean, Mexican and Bahamian destinations, plus a temporary link to the Florida panhandle.
Delta Air Lines will expand its Boston schedule for ten days around Patriots' Day and spring break in April 2027, the carrier said. The busiest stretches are expected 16-18 April and 22-25 April.
Patriots' Day is marked in eight US states and gives Massachusetts a three-day weekend. In 2027 it falls on 19 April in the state.
The added flying from Boston covers leisure destinations: Charleston, Savannah and Myrtle Beach in the Carolinas; Orlando, Sarasota, Fort Myers, Panama City and Jacksonville in Florida; San Juan; Punta Cana; Cancun; Aruba; Providenciales; and Nassau. Delta will put larger aircraft on the Boston-New Orleans sector.
The airline also intends to fly a temporary Boston-Destin/Fort Walton Beach service during the peak dates. The two cities are not normally connected by the carrier.
