Delta Air Lines has heavily reduced its seasonal Boston to Honolulu nonstop, dropping most of the planned departures and ending the service in early January. The carrier says the route will not return for the following winter.

Delta Air Lines will operate its seasonal nonstop between Boston Logan International Airport and Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu for a much shorter period than first planned, according to the airline.

When Delta announced the service on February 13, 2026, it was to run from December 19, 2026, through April 25, 2027, using a 282-seat Airbus A330-300. The carrier has since removed 81 percent of the scheduled departures.

Under the revised plan, the route flies for 17 days and stops on January 3, 2027. It will not be brought back for the winter 2027/2028 season.

The airline has not explained publicly why the schedule was reduced, and no reason for the change was given in the announcement.
