Deutsche Aircraft opens final assembly line for D328 Eco at Leipzig/Halle

Deutsche Aircraft has opened the final assembly line for its D328 Eco regional aircraft at Leipzig/Halle Airport, the company said. It marks the shift from development to production.

The site can turn out up to 48 aircraft a year. It covers 60,500 square metres, with final assembly, a flight readiness hangar, a logistics centre and administration buildings.

Leipzig/Halle will handle final assembly and delivery of the D328 Eco. Development, flight testing and certification remain in Oberpfaffenhofen.

The company said the line gives it the industrial basis for series production of the aircraft.
