Eddyfi releases Ignite eddy current array platform for surface inspection
Eddyfi Technologies has launched Ignite, a compact eddy current array platform for surface inspection of components such as turbine disks and blades, aimed at standardizing procedures and automating production workflows.

Eddyfi Technologies has introduced Ignite, a compact digital eddy current array platform that combines acquisition, analysis and automation for surface inspection of parts including turbine disks and blades. The company describes the system as robot-ready and open by design.
Weighing about 6lb (2.9kg), the platform is intended for fixed inspection stations, robotic cells, crawlers and factory-deployable inspection systems. It offers eight probe inputs, with upgradable 64-, 128- and 256-channel configurations, and supports array probes with up to 128 sensors. The operating range spans 5Hz to 7MHz.
Eddyfi says the platform can help inspection teams standardize procedures, improve repeatability and shift from manual inspection to automated production workflows using eddy current array (ECA) probes. Mathieu Bouchard, product manager at Eddyfi Technologies, said the aim was to remove the friction from adopting advanced ECA in manual or automated settings, allowing customers to start with a straightforward workflow before scaling to full automation.
Two software environments support the platform. Magnifi Ignite draws on 15 years of Magnifi experience in ECA inspection, adding 2D and 3D C-scan tools and manual inspection workflows in a redesigned interface alongside one-button calibration and real-time processing. A QuickLink technology stores setup files.
