EFW hands over last A330-200 freighter conversion to EgyptAir Cargo
EFW has redelivered the fifth and final Airbus A330-200 passenger-to-freighter conversion to launch customer EgyptAir Cargo, closing out a programme that began in 2018.
EFW has handed back the fifth and final Airbus A330-200 passenger-to-freighter conversion to its launch customer, EgyptAir Cargo. Flight tracking data indicates the redelivery took place on 12 September.
The aircraft, a 21-year-old A330-200 registered SU-GCH, was first delivered new to Cairo-based EgyptAir. It has Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines and manufacturer serial number 683.
Conversion work was performed at EFW's Dresden site in eastern Germany, where the widebody twin arrived in November 2025. The specialist, 55% owned by Singapore's ST Engineering and with Airbus holding the remaining stake, has now finished the Egyptian carrier's A330 redelivery programme, which started in 2018.
The aircraft was converted from passenger to freight configuration.
