Embry-Riddle Worldwide Campus marks 100,000th graduate

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Worldwide Campus has graduated its 100,000th student, the university said in a press release. That milestone went to Jonnathan Munoz Cisneros, recognized during a commencement ceremony held August 9 on the flight deck of the USS Midway Museum in San Diego, where nearly 300 students took part.

Munoz Cisneros completed a Bachelor of Science in Technical Management while working as a product support manager at Northrop Grumman. He also holds an Airframe and Powerplant certificate. He said his coursework applied directly to his aerospace career, according to the university.

The Worldwide Campus dates back to 1970, when Embry-Riddle set up a remote site at Fort Rucker, Alabama. It has since grown to 108 locations in the United States and abroad, including an Asia Campus in Singapore and a number of sites on military installations.

During the 2025-26 academic year, the campus enrolled more than 21,000 students, nearly 11,000 of them military-affiliated. Eighty-eight of its locations sit on military bases.

The university has been adding technology to its distance-learning offerings, including virtual labs and extended-reality tools. It currently runs 28 undergraduate and 26 master's degree programs, many of them organized into nine-week terms. Officials said the format suits working professionals and military personnel who cannot attend a residential program.

The 100,000-graduate figure applies only to the Worldwide Campus. Embry-Riddle's total alumni base, across all campuses, now exceeds 165,000, according to the university.
