Porter Airlines to launch service from London, Ontario with four new US and Caribbean routes

Porter Airlines is adding a new Canadian city to its network. The carrier said it will begin flying from London, Ontario, this coming winter, the airport's first service from the airline.

Four seasonal routes are planned. Fort Lauderdale comes first, starting November 18 with four flights a week. Orlando follows a day later, with three flights weekly.

In December, Porter adds Cancun, Mexico, beginning December 17 with four weekly flights. Montego Bay, Jamaica, starts December 18 with twice-weekly service.

All four routes will fly on the Embraer E195-E2, a 132-seat aircraft, according to the airline.

Porter also said it plans to build a year-round domestic schedule out of London, though it hasn't named destinations or a start date yet. The airline expects that service running by summer 2027.

Porter's chief executive, Michael Deluce, said the new London service would benefit more than two million people in the surrounding area, who would now have access to flights from a local airport instead of needing to travel to a larger hub.

The announcement adds London to Porter's growing list of Canadian and cross-border destinations, as the airline keeps expanding its use of the E195-E2 fleet on seasonal leisure routes.
