An emergency evacuation slide deployed from the Boeing 747-8 being prepared to carry President Donald Trump from Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, on September 9. The aircraft was gifted to the United States by Qatar and is serving as Trump's new Air Force One. It was due to fly to Dallas, Texas, for the Republican National Midterm Convention.
The slide deployed moments before Trump was due to board. Crews inspected and removed it, and the departure was briefly delayed.
