FlyJets releases JetGPT AI assistant for charter bookings

Charter marketplace FlyJets has launched an AI agent called JetGPT that helps users find and compare charter flights, empty legs and shared seats. The tool follows a beta release earlier this year.

FlyJets, which runs a marketplace for charter flights and shared seats, has launched an AI agent called JetGPT on its web and mobile platforms. The company calls it an automated flight-finding assistant.

It arrived with flight-sharing options for fall and winter, among them service between New York and Miami and between New York and Palm Beach. Users can ask the assistant which empty legs are open on those routes within a chosen date window, then compare the results.

JetGPT runs on a large language model and takes instructions typed or spoken. FlyJets says it draws on live charter availability, pricing and data supplied directly by operators, covering empty legs, shared flights and airport availability. The assistant can filter results by operator safety rating, price or space. It can also carry out bookings and sales within set parameters, locate open seats, and set alerts for when a route becomes available.

A beta version went live in February, and FlyJets said the full release adds changes prompted by customer feedback.

Chief executive and founder Jessica Fisher said the assistant was built to match the company's aims around clarity, accuracy and efficiency, and to make finding and sharing charter flights simpler for more people.

FlyJets' platform lets users list, search for and book one-way and round-trip flights, bid for or buy flights immediately, share itineraries, and trade charter seats or spaces, including reselling empty legs.
