Four dead after Piper PA-34 crashes near Bahamas
A Piper PA-34 Seneca crashed off the Bahamas, killing all four people on board, including the pilot, his wife, and two grandchildren.
Four bodies were found on Tuesday, September 8, after a small plane disappeared off the Bahamas. The Piper PA-34 Seneca had departed Great Harbour Cay the previous day and was en route to Miami Executive Airport. The last known contact was near the west side of Andros Island.
On board were the 80-year-old pilot, his 79-year-old wife, and their grandchildren. The family was returning to Miami after an extended weekend. The Royal Bahamas Defence Force confirmed the discovery of the four bodies. The remains are to be brought to the Bahamas.
