GCAP partners win further contract for sixth-generation fighter electronics
The GCAP Electronics Evolution consortium has secured another contract to develop sensor and communication systems for the future GCAP combat jet.

The GCAP Electronics Evolution consortium has received a further order to develop sensor and communication systems for the future GCAP combat aircraft. Edgewing, the joint venture of Leonardo, JAIEC and BAE Systems for the sixth-generation fighter programme, awarded the 18-month contract.
The consortium comprises ELT Group, Leonardo, Mitsubishi Electric and Leonardo UK. They are developing the ISANKE & ICS system, which is intended to fuse data from various sensors and communication systems to give pilots a comprehensive situational picture.
