Houthis warn airlines against flying over Saudi Arabia
A Houthi-run coordination centre said Saudi airspace will not be safe while Saudi Arabia continues its campaign against the group, and called on airlines to stop flying over the country. Riyadh has not commented.

A Houthi-controlled coordination centre warned airlines against flying over Saudi Arabia, saying the kingdom's airspace will not be safe while Saudi Arabia continues what the group called its aggression against the Houthis. The warning told carriers to stop flights over Saudi Arabia, excluding airspace above Mecca and Medina. The Houthis linked the warning to attacks on targets inside Saudi Arabia, and said they struck Riyadh airport and other targets on Monday.
Mecca and Medina were the only exceptions named. The warning gave no detail on how airlines should route flights around Saudi territory, or on which operators received it. Saudi Arabia has not responded, and the kingdom has not confirmed the reported strikes.
