Icelandair will start nonstop flights between its Keflavik hub and St. Louis Lambert International Airport in May 2027, the airline says. The service is planned for the summer season.

The route will be Icelandair's 16th destination in the United States. It also extends the carrier's partnership with Southwest Airlines to St. Louis, which the airline expects to support the business case for the new sector.

A Boeing 737 MAX 8 in a 160-seat layout will fly the route. For Southwest, the arrangement marks a growing area of focus beyond its own network.
