India's DGCA approves Tarmac Aerosave to maintain A320 family aircraft in France
The French aircraft maintenance company has received approval from India's aviation regulator to service Indian-registered Airbus A320 family jets at its Tarbes facility, covering all engine variants.
India's aviation regulator, the DGCA, has approved Tarmac Aerosave to maintain the Airbus A320 family, the French company said. The authorisation covers every engine variant: the CFM International CFM56 and Leap-1A, the IAE V2500 and the Pratt & Whitney PW1100G.
The approval lets Tarmac Aerosave work on Indian-registered A320s at its site in Tarbes, France, and issue release-to-service documents recognised by the Indian authority. Its scope takes in heavy maintenance, preparation for a change of lessee, storage and preservation, and engine work.
Tarmac Aerosave runs three locations and specialises in storage, dismantling and recycling as well as maintenance. Founded in 2007, it says it has taken in more than 2,100 aircraft and returned more than 1,600 to service.
