Israeli police are reviewing two senior transport ministry officials over possible conflicts of interest linked to safety deficiencies on Flydubai flight FZ1073, Israeli media report. Dvir Rubinstein, responsible for aviation safety, is said to have done paid consultancy and training work for foreign airlines alongside his ministry job, including Flydubai and Emirates. Avri Cohen, who heads the security department, has reportedly worked since 2018 as a security officer for Israeli airlines at an airport abroad. Investigators want to establish whether any rules were broken. The ministry said Rubinstein's secondary employment was approved; Cohen had no approval for the extra work.
