Japan Airlines resumes own freighter flights to Hong Kong
Japan Airlines will again use its own Boeing 767 freighter on the Tokyo Narita–Hong Kong route from Sept. 16 after maintenance, ending codeshare flights operated by Kalitta Air.
Japan Airlines is adjusting its freighter schedule after finishing scheduled maintenance on its own cargo aircraft. From Sept. 16, the airline will fly its own Boeing 767 freighter on the Tokyo Narita–Hong Kong route. Codeshare cargo flights previously operated by Kalitta Air will stop.
JAL will also add temporary cargo capacity between Narita and Chicago during September. From Sept. 1 to 30, extra charter flights run by Western Global Airlines with Boeing 747 freighters will be used.
