KLM sets winter schedule, plans return to Dubai, Riyadh and Dammam
KLM intends to restart flights to three Gulf destinations when its winter schedule begins on October 25, 2026, more than a year after suspending them. The airline says the exact timetable depends on conditions in the Middle East.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has published a winter schedule showing it intends to resume flights to Dubai, Riyadh and Dammam within weeks, from the start of the winter season on October 25, 2026.
The services were halted on February 28, 2026, after the start of a military conflict involving the US, Israel and Iran, and the suspension has been extended repeatedly since then even as other carriers returned to the Gulf. KLM said the precise timetable will depend on the situation in the Middle East at that time.
The Dutch flag carrier also plans to keep flying between Amsterdam and Tel Aviv through the winter, after services on that route resumed on August 25, 2026.
Between October 2026 and March 2027, KLM says it will serve 164 destinations in 64 countries, 93 of them in Europe and 71 outside it. Minneapolis returns to the winter schedule for the first time since winter 2023, and San Diego will be served for the whole winter season for the first time.
Panama City will get up to ten flights a week in the peak period, while São Paulo will be served nine times a week. Rovaniemi and Kittilä each gain one weekly flight, and Florence and Basel each gain a daily service.
Chief executive Marjan Rintel said passengers want to reach their destinations smoothly and feel recognised and at ease throughout the journey.
