Korean Air and Asiana to Offer Free Starlink Wi-Fi
Korean Air and Asiana Airlines will provide free Starlink in-flight connectivity starting September 15, with fleet-wide installation targeted by end-2027.

Korean Air and Asiana Airlines will offer passengers free in-flight wireless internet through a partnership with Starlink. Both carriers will begin operating aircraft retrofitted with the service from 15 September. Korean Air will debut Starlink on four jets: three Airbus A350-900s and one Boeing 777-300ER. Asiana has nine A350-900s and one A330 fitted with the service.
Both airlines plan to retrofit the remainder of their fleets, targeting completion by the end of 2027. According to the SkyTeam operator, aircraft not yet fitted will continue to offer the existing paid Wi-Fi service during the transition.
Korean Air is integrating Asiana operations by the end of the year. The airline described the Starlink installation as an initial milestone in its broader fleet modernisation roadmap. Other Asian carriers are also adopting the service. Zipair already offers it on its 787s, and Singapore Airlines will introduce Starlink connectivity from 2027 on its long-haul A350 fleet and A380s.
