Magnifica Air plans 2027 launch with all-premium Airbus narrowbody fleet
Start-up Magnifica Air intends to fly all-premium cabins on Airbus Corporate Jet narrowbodies from general aviation airports, beginning with charters in 2027 and a scheduled network the following year.

Magnifica Air, a Florida-based start-up, is pitching itself between premium cabins and private aviation with what it calls "private class" service. It plans to fly as a Part 121 scheduled carrier, but from general aviation airports rather than large hubs, according to its presentation of the model.
The company holds lease deals for eight Airbus Corporate Jets: six A220-300s and two A321neos. Its first aircraft, a Pratt & Whitney PW1100G-powered A321neo, arrived in February.
Chief executive and co-founder Wade Black said Magnifica aims to begin operations in 2027 with private charters and move to a scheduled network in the third quarter of 2028. Early routes would link south Florida with New York, then Texas, before expansion toward the West Coast.
Black said the all-premium cabins and attentive crew service will resemble domestic first class in many respects but are meant to match a true private jet experience. Rival airlines, he argued, cannot readily shift to the service level Magnifica plans.
The ground experience is a second differentiator. Using general aviation facilities would let passengers skip the long security lines of major airports, the company said.
Magnifica is not the first to pursue this market. In the United States, JSX and Tradewind offer private jet shuttle-style services, and Paris-based all-business-class carrier La Compagnie flies the transatlantic market after several similar ventures failed before the 2008 financial crisis.
