Malaysia Airlines will restart scheduled flights to Jeddah and Medina in Saudi Arabia on 18 October 2026, the airline said. Both routes had been suspended for a period before the decision.

The carrier said it made the call after a full safety review and an assessment of operational risks. It did not give the exact reasons for the earlier suspension, nor say how many flights were affected.

Malaysia Airlines said it is watching how the situation in the region develops and intends to respond to any change in security conditions if needed.

Passengers with bookings to Jeddah or Medina are asked to check their flight times and update their contact details. Travellers who booked through travel agencies or other intermediaries should contact those agents directly.
