PAL-V obtains EASA production approval for flying car
Dutch flying car developer PAL-V has received Production Organization Approval from EASA, a milestone toward certifying its FlyDrive vehicle.
PAL-V has obtained Production Organization Approval from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, the Dutch flying car developer announced on September 7, 2026. The approval authorizes the company to manufacture aviation products, a step PAL-V describes as significant. It says it is the first FlyDrive developer in advanced air mobility to gain such approval, putting it ahead of American and Chinese initiatives.
CEO Robert Dingemanse said the approval confirms the company has built an organization capable of developing, certifying, and manufacturing airworthy products. PAL-V also holds automotive production approvals. The firm expects first deliveries in 2028, with a reservation portfolio sufficient for three years of production.
PAL-V previously received a 'No Technical Objection' statement from EASA in 2025. In March 2024, Dubai-based Aviterra ordered 100 units.
