Pegasus completes acquisition of Smartwings and Czech Airlines
Pegasus Airlines has closed its purchase of the Smartwings Group and Czech Airlines, saying all required regulatory approvals are in place. The combined group operates more than 175 aircraft.

Pegasus Airlines has completed its acquisition of the Smartwings Group and Czech Airlines, the Turkish carrier said. The deal closed on 1 October after all required regulatory approvals came through and the conditions for closing were met, according to Pegasus.
The combined companies operate more than 175 aircraft, with firm orders for another 140. Smartwings will keep flying under both the Smartwings and Czech Airlines brands.
Daily operations will continue as before, the airline said. Pegasus serves 161 destinations in 57 countries; Smartwings serves 80 destinations in 20 countries.
