Philippine Airlines to restart Manila–Saipan nonstop service in October 2026
Philippine Airlines says it will bring back nonstop flights between Manila and Saipan starting October 25, 2026, pitching the route at leisure travellers and connecting passengers through its Manila hub.

Philippine Airlines will resume nonstop flights between Manila and Saipan on October 25, 2026. The route connects Ninoy Aquino International Airport with Saipan International Airport in the Northern Mariana Islands.
The carrier is pitching the link at holidaymakers who want to pair a trip to the Philippines with time on Saipan, an island known for beaches, diving, snorkelling, historical sites and nature parks.
It also wants connecting traffic. Travellers from Japan, South Korea, Greater China and Southeast Asia could reach Saipan through PAL's Manila hub, the airline said. From there they could fly on to Philippine destinations including Cebu, Boracay, Bohol, Coron, Siargao and Davao.
The airline said the service extends its network across Asia and the Pacific and supports tourism and commercial links between the Philippines, the Northern Mariana Islands and major Asian markets. Tickets are on sale through the carrier's website, mobile app, reservations hotline, ticket offices and accredited travel agents.
Saipan is the largest island of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, a self-governing US territory, and Filipinos make up about one third of its population. Links between the two places go back to Spanish colonial rule from 1565 to 1899, when the Marianas were governed from Manila and Filipino soldiers, catechists and labourers were sent to the islands. Many stayed and married into Chamorro families. Migration rose again late in the twentieth century, when thousands of workers moved to Saipan for jobs in construction, tourism and the garment industry.
