Pratt & Whitney to expand Poland engine parts facility with $25 million investment
The RTX unit will expand its Niepołomice site to produce precision components for GTF and F135 engines, adding 120 jobs by 2028.
Pratt & Whitney said on September 4, 2026 that it will spend $25 million to expand its plant in Niepołomice, Poland. The site makes precision tubular assemblies for commercial and military engines, including the GTF, PW800, and the F135 that powers the F-35. The expanded facility should open in 2028 and add more than 120 jobs.
The Polish government is supporting the project through the Polish Investment Zone Program. In April 2026, the RTX-owned company announced a separate $100 million investment in its Rzeszów facility to increase production capacity and add advanced capabilities.
Dariusz Stopa, general manager of Pratt & Whitney in Niepołomice, said Poland is a key hub in the company's global engine production and that the $125 million total investment this year strengthens that commitment.
Poland is RTX's largest employee base outside the US, with more than 9,500 staff across Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and Raytheon businesses.
