Rheinmetall Canada to supply US Navy with spare parts for jet engine starters
The contract covers starter and FADEC system parts for MSU-200-NAV air start units used on ground and aboard ships.
Rheinmetall Canada will supply the US Navy with spare parts for mobile MSU-200-NAV air start units. The order, valued in the single-digit million-euro range, was awarded through the Canadian Commercial Corporation on behalf of the US Department of Defense. Deliveries are scheduled from late 2026 to late 2028. The units start aircraft engines on the ground and on board ships.
The parts cover two components. The starter initiates turbine operation, and the FADEC system regulates turbine power output, sequencing, and safety.
