From June through August, 2,182 temporary closures were recorded. That summer total alone passed the 1,923 cases logged for all of 2025. The restrictions are imposed mainly during drone warnings. They can lead to diversions, delays, and cancellations. The four Moscow airports Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo, Domodedovo, and Zhukovsky were repeatedly affected.
