Russian Il-114-300 signs tentative Indian orders for over 80
United Aircraft has signed provisional agreements for the delivery of 85 Ilyushin Il-114-300 turboprops to two Indian operators, with plans for a training centre and possible localisation.
At the Innoprom 2026 exhibition in Delhi, Russia's United Aircraft signed agreements covering 85 Ilyushin Il-114-300 turboprops for India. A letter of intent provides for 50 aircraft to Pinnacle Air, while a memorandum of understanding with Sleek Aviation covers 35 deliveries.
The Sleek agreement also includes establishing a training centre with a full-flight simulator. Delivery schedules, maintenance terms, and commitments to localise some components will be set out in separate contracts.
The Il-114-300 received Russian certification in June, and several aircraft are now in serial production. United Aircraft has been promoting the type as a fit for India's UDAN regional connectivity scheme.
Russian deputy industry and trade minister Gennady Abramenkov said India has significant potential for regional air travel and the Il-114-300 is well suited to expanding route networks. United Aircraft chief Vadim Badekha said the operator interest seen at January's Wings India show was formalised in Delhi.
He said the company plans to conclude the first firm contracts by the end of this year and is prepared to move toward industrial partnership covering service, maintenance, training, and even localised production in India.
