Russian UAC signs letters of intent for 85 Il-114-300s in India

Russia's United Aircraft Corporation has secured non-binding agreements for 85 Ilyushin Il-114-300 regional turboprops with two Indian carriers, while also advancing certification and possible Superjet 100 production in India.

Russian aircraft manufacturer United Aircraft Corporation has signed letters of intent in India covering 85 Ilyushin Il-114-300 regional turboprops. Pinnacle Air expressed interest in 50 aircraft and Sleek Aviation signed for 35 more. No firm orders have been placed yet. UAC hopes to conclude initial binding contracts by the end of 2026.

Certification procedures for the Il-114-300 and the Yakovlev Superjet 100, along with their engines, are also set to begin in India. UAC is in negotiations with Hindustan Aeronautics about licensed production of the Superjet 100 in India. The manufacturer said that agreement is already more than 80 percent finalised.
