Ryanair CEO disputes account of passenger partially sucked out window

Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary has disputed accounts that a passenger was partially sucked out of a Boeing 737 window that shattered shortly after takeoff when struck by engine debris. Speaking during the airline's financial results presentation, O'Leary said that according to the carrier's findings, no part of the passenger's body was outside the aircraft. He acknowledged the passenger was pulled toward the window with great force. A preliminary report from the US National Transportation Safety Board states that flight attendants found the passenger partially wedged in the window frame. The passenger's wife and other passengers, however, said his head and shoulders were pulled through the opening.
