Saab unveils concept model for collaborative combat aircraft

Saab has shown a full-scale concept model of a new uncrewed collaborative combat aircraft, designated A3, meant to operate alongside its Gripen fighter jets.

The concept was unveiled publicly as part of the company's push into next-generation air combat systems. These systems increasingly pair crewed fighters with autonomous or semi-autonomous wingman aircraft, designs intended to extend the reach and capability of existing fighter fleets while reducing risk to pilots in contested airspace.
