Scat Airlines to launch Shymkent-Singapore service via Sanya in October
Scat Airlines will begin flying from Shymkent in Kazakhstan to Singapore on 20 October, with a stop in Sanya, China. It marks Changi's first direct link to Central Asia since 2019.
Scat Airlines will begin flying between Shymkent, Kazakhstan, and Singapore on 20 October, its schedule shows. The route will operate twice a week with a Boeing 737 Max 8.
The aircraft stops in Sanya, China, en route. Under fifth-freedom traffic rights, Scat may also carry passengers between Sanya and Singapore, not just those traveling to or from Kazakhstan.
For Singapore Changi Airport, the service restores its first direct link to Central Asia since 2019.
