Oman Air creates new board role for passenger experience

Oman Air is adding a Chief Guest Experience Officer to its board, a new position responsible for passenger experience strategy. The appointment follows the naming of Nasser Al Sharji as chief executive.

Oman Air has created a Chief Guest Experience Officer post, the first time it has filled such a role. The position sits on the board and will own the carrier's passenger experience strategy.

The remit covers booking and airport services, onboard catering and the frequent flyer programme, which the new officer is to coordinate across the airline. The role will also draw on passenger feedback and operational data, according to the airline.

The decision follows the appointment of Nasser Al Sharji as chief executive. Oman Air has said it plans changes over the coming years in cabin fittings, onboard catering, digital services and its loyalty programme. The new board member is to bring those projects together.
