Sigma Advanced Systems wins further Rolls-Royce engine parts contract

Rolls-Royce has awarded a new long-term contract to Sigma Advanced Systems, placed through Bromford Precision Solutions, the British subsidiary Sigma acquired recently. The deal is valued at close to £125 million, or roughly €145 million.

Under the agreement, Bromford will manufacture rings, casings and other structural components for aircraft engines. Sigma said production will take place at its sites in the United Kingdom and India.

The order builds on an earlier long-term agreement between Sigma and Rolls-Royce, worth about £300 million, or approximately €348 million. Combined, the two contracts now total around £425 million.

Sigma said it had acquired Bromford to expand its manufacturing capacity and broaden its range of engine components. The announcement did not disclose a timeline for delivery or production ramp-up.
