Singapore Airlines wants a bigger say in Air India before it puts up more money, Reuters reported. The carrier is seeking stronger board voting rights and steps to cut losses. It owns 25.1% of Air India.

The Indian airline plans to raise about $1.5 billion in new equity. Tata Sons, the majority owner, has already approved $1.1 billion in line with its stake. Singapore Airlines said any further funding decision will come after it reviews the business plans and capital needs.
