SITA agrees to buy Collins Aerospace's airport solutions unit

SITA has agreed to acquire Collins Aerospace Airport Solutions, a business supplying passenger processing, baggage and airport operations technology. The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2027, subject to regulatory approval.

SITA has agreed to acquire Collins Aerospace Airport Solutions, the unit that supplies technology for passenger processing, baggage handling and airport operations.

Its business covers the systems that move travellers and their bags through terminals: check-in and self-service points, bag drop, and the operational software airports rely on daily.

SITA said the purchase expands what it can offer and strengthens its position as an industry technology partner. Chief executive David Lavorel said demand for air travel keeps rising along with passenger expectations, and the sector needs technology, innovation and people working together to link each stage of a journey so disruptions are avoided or resolved quickly.

The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2027, subject to customary closing conditions and the regulatory approvals it requires.
