Swiss to begin Starlink Wi-Fi rollout on A320 Neo from 28 September
The Lufthansa subsidiary Swiss will phase in free high-speed satellite internet from Starlink, starting with one A320 Neo on the Zurich–Thessaloniki route.
Swiss will start installing free high-speed satellite internet from Starlink on 28 September, the carrier's plan says. The first aircraft to get it is an Airbus A320 Neo named Iseltwald, registered HB-JDM, which will initially fly the Zurich–Thessaloniki route.
Passengers sign in with their Travel ID or Miles & More number, and the connection works in every cabin class. Three more aircraft from the A320 family will follow.
Swiss wants the whole fleet connected by the end of 2029. The service rolls out across the Lufthansa Group as "Lufthansa Group Wi-Fi powered by Starlink". Voice and video calls and livestreams stay prohibited.
