UAE regulator and Aviation Working Group sign aircraft transfer agreement
The UAE's civil aviation authority and the Aviation Working Group have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at easing the cross-border transfer of aircraft. The five-year agreement focuses on transfer, import and registration procedures.

The civil aviation authority of the United Arab Emirates and the Aviation Working Group have signed a memorandum of understanding intended to make it easier to move aircraft across borders. The agreement was concluded in Dubai on 13 October 2026 and runs for five years.
At its centre are simplified procedures for the transfer, import and registration of aircraft in the Emirates. The two organisations also plan to examine the use of digital technologies and to promote common standards for international aircraft transactions.
The authority said the cooperation is meant to improve the efficiency of the country's aircraft register and to make the location more attractive to aircraft owners, leasing companies and others involved in aviation finance.
The Aviation Working Group works internationally on uniform legal frameworks for the financing and leasing of aircraft.
