United plans economy flat-bed product on long-haul widebodies
United Airlines has announced a new long-haul economy seating product called Relax Row, which will offer beds positioned between standard economy and premium economy. The carrier expects the product to enter service in 2027 and to be fitted across a large share of its widebody fleet by 2030.

United Airlines has unveiled a long-haul upsell called Relax Row. The carrier says it sits between standard economy and premium economy, not as a replacement for either cabin.
Announced March 24, Relax Row is scheduled to debut in 2027 on Boeing 787 and 777 aircraft. United plans to fit it on more than 200 widebodies by 2030.
Each aircraft would carry as many as 12 Relax Row sections, letting the carrier sell extra comfort at scale without setting aside substantial cabin space for a separate fare class.
