UPS to build new air cargo hubs in the Philippines and Hong Kong
UPS plans more than $2 billion in investment through 2028 to expand its global logistics network, including new air freight facilities in Asia and North America.
UPS plans to spend more than two billion US dollars between 2024 and 2028 expanding its international logistics, healthcare and supply chain operations, the company said.
The plan covers new and expanded sites across Europe, Asia and North America. A new hub at Clark International Airport in the Philippines is due to open in the fourth quarter of 2026, and a facility in Barrie, Canada is scheduled to follow in 2027. A new air cargo centre at Hong Kong International Airport is planned for 2028.
The company is also expanding its intra-Asian flight network. UPS currently operates five weekly flights between Paris and Hong Kong, and another five weekly between Shenzhen and Sydney.
UPS described the investment as part of a broader effort to strengthen its air freight and supply chain capabilities in growth regions. It gave no further financial or operational details.
