Vereinigung Cockpit elects Lufthansa Cargo pilot as new vice president
Katharina Dieseldorff has stepped down as vice president of the German pilots' union Vereinigung Cockpit for family reasons, and the board has elected Oliver Löwe to replace her.
Katharina Dieseldorff has resigned as vice president of Vereinigung Cockpit, effective 23 September, for family reasons, the union said. At its meeting the same day, the board elected Oliver Löwe as her successor. Löwe was already a member of the executive board.
Löwe flies for Lufthansa Cargo; Dieseldorff flies for Lufthansa. He had handled member support on the board. In his new role, he said he wants to keep a strong focus on members, with particular emphasis on the union's political work and cooperation with other associations and trade unions.
Felix Kuhlmay, a Condor pilot who joined the executive board in July, takes over the member support portfolio from Löwe.
