Incident Overview
The pilot and three passengers had completed a local area flight and returned to the airport. A normal approach was performed with 20 degrees of flaps configured for a crosswind landing.
Flight and Approach
During the approach, the pilot reported that the approach speed was slightly faster than desired. The landing was conducted in crosswind conditions.
Landing Sequence
Upon touchdown, the aircraft ballooned, bounced, and drifted to the left. The left main landing gear subsequently encountered a snowbank, causing the aircraft to swing to the left. The right wing swung downward as a result of the ground contact.
Damage
The right wing, lower cowling, and propeller sustained damage. No other damage or injuries were reported in the source.
