Incident Details
The aircraft was being demonstrated to a prospective buyer during a flight from Atlanta, Georgia. After landing at McCollum Airport in Marietta, the aircraft began taxiing. As it neared the taxiway, the pilot attempted a right turn at a speed of approximately 5 mph. The pilot in the left seat applied right rudder and partial right brake. When the turn radius proved too large, both pilots applied full right brake, but reportedly there was no response. Subsequently, the left wing struck the windshield of a parked van located one foot to the left of the taxiway.
Investigation Results
During the post-incident investigation, no malfunctions were found in the right brake or the steering system of the aircraft. However, the left brake was determined to be inoperative, and fluid was observed leaking from its cylinder. The source did not specify the aircraft type, registration, or any occupant injuries or fatalities.
