A pilot reported that after a fast approach, the aircraft bounced and drifted off the runway, striking a light. During a go-around, a sharp turn to avoid trees led to a stall and impact with a small tree and log pile.

Accident Sequence

The pilot reported that while on final approach to land, the aircraft's speed was slightly higher than desired. After touching down, the aircraft bounced and began to drift to the right. Once the right wheel departed the runway surface, the rightward turning motion increased, and the aircraft struck a runway edge light. The pilot then applied full power in an attempt to avoid several parked aircraft, but the flaps were not raised. At an altitude of approximately 50 to 60 feet above ground level (AGL), the pilot executed a sharp left turn to avoid some trees. At roughly that time, the aircraft entered a stall and crashed into a small tree and a pile of logs.
