Pilot Report
The pilot reported that he began a touch-and-go landing after a light twin-engine aircraft had taken off. He stated that he did not have a clear recall of the complete procedure he followed.
Sequence of Events
After the aircraft reached an altitude of about 30 to 40 feet above ground level (AGL), the stall warning sounded and was followed by a partial stall. The pilot pushed the control wheel forward, but reported this had little noticeable effect on the aircraft's attitude. Subsequently, the aircraft settled to the runway in a slightly nose-high attitude.
Impact and Damage
During the impact, the main landing gear was bent, the nose gear was driven upward behind the firewall, and the propeller struck the ground.
Witness Account
The pilot stated that his son, who was seated in the right front seat, recalled that the carburetor heat was pushed in and the flaps were raised before power was applied for the takeoff again.
