Accident Details
The aircraft was conducting a touch-and-go landing. According to the pilot, he allowed the aircraft to become airborne prematurely. The flaps were not raised during the go-around, and the pilot stated that he lost control. After the initial lift-off for the go-around, the aircraft veered to the left. It touched down repeatedly, with the second touchdown occurring in the grass off the runway. When the aircraft would not fly, the pilot reduced the throttle to idle and steered the aircraft to the right. The left wing tip struck a tree, causing the aircraft to yaw 180 degrees, where it came to rest.

The pilot had 12 hours of experience in conventional gear aircraft, all within the previous 60 days. The pilot reported that the windsock was limp at the time of the accident.
