Incident Details
During the landing roll on Runway 17, the aircraft veered off the right side of the runway. Subsequently, the airplane nosed over in soft ground. The pilot attempted to straighten the aircraft by applying left brake, which resulted in the nose-over.
Pilot Statement
The pilot indicated that the right brake pedal was jammed by a 1/2-inch piece of carpet that had been installed in the aircraft. This caused the brake to be unresponsive, leading to the veer off the runway.
Environmental Conditions
The pilot stated that at the time of the accident, the wind was from 230 degrees at approximately 5 knots.
