Incident Overview
A student pilot flying a Cessna 152 was conducting a supervised solo flight. The pilot had successfully completed four full-stop landings without any difficulty. However, during the fifth landing, the aircraft lost directional control on the ground after touchdown. The airplane struck a snow bank and flipped over.
Pilot Report
The pilot reported experiencing turbulent wind conditions just as the aircraft touched down, leading to a loss of control. No other sources reported wind gusts or turbulence at the time; the only indication of such conditions came from the pilot's statement.
Aircraft Damage and Pilot Status
The Cessna 152 sustained substantial damage as a result of the ground impact and overturn. The pilot was uninjured in the accident.
Investigation Notes
The investigation did not identify any mechanical or structural failures. The pilot's report of turbulent wind remains the only stated factor associated with the loss of control. No official probable cause has been determined.
