Accident Overview
A student pilot was conducting his first solo flight, practicing landings to a full stop. During the second landing, the accident occurred. According to the pilot, the landing was on the first third of the runway. The aircraft bounced on touchdown, and he applied power to recover. When the aircraft touched down again, it swerved left and departed the side of the runway.
Events After Runway Excursion
The aircraft then traveled approximately 1,000 feet and collided with three parked aircraft. The pilot stated that he forgot to reduce power during the landing sequence. No mechanical malfunction was reported.
